Paulin Begai vs. Edinaldo Oliveira - 2024-04-18 Good distance management and hand fighting. Kicks are really fast and hard to see coming. Nice footwork on the exit when his opponent attacks but i could see a good striking catching him here because his exit is a bit lagged. Mostly throws kicks until he feels comfortable, then mixes in single punches. He has a nice check left hook that he throws on the exit. He tends to pick at his opponent and then when his opp commits to an attack he throws more heat into his counters. His hands seem quite low most of the time and he relies on footwork and head movement for his defense. Pretty much just point fought his way to a decision. His opponent is old and washed but I will say he hasnt looked this bad against previous opponents. Begai shut his game down heavily Paulin Begai vs. Carlos Cainan - Mar / 09 / 2023 His takedown defence and get up game seem good although he did get taken down in r1, it was a really nice takedown though. Asside from that he pretty much just defended some takedowns and picked the guy apart until he quit. Really low level opponent. Paulin Begai vs. Igor Glaskov - Sep / 02 / 2022 Good takedown defense and get ups at first but glaskov was really persistent and was able to chain wrestle and eventually get him down in the open matt. He does a good job of trying to get to the cage so he can get to his feet but igor collected his wrists and turned him back away from the fence. good reversal using the cage and he got back to his feet but another good td from igor; he got a single leg and tripped out his other leg. Glaskov is really good, his chain wrestling is impressive. tough fight for begai but his tdd still looked good despite that. However, once he got tired by round 2 his activity to get back to his feet faded a lot. ... Read moreShow less
