Really not great. hes an aggresive striker and throws with heat but barely moves his head. also drops for leg locks and gets taken down a lot, gets in bad grappling positions. Tony Ortega vs Ashton Canaglia - Aug / 14 / 2021 Seems to be waiting for the takedown timing immediately. His opponent throws a kick and he times a nice double leg off of it. However, he almost immediately gets stuck in a triangle choke. He manages to work out of it and take the back. falls off the top and his opponent takes him down. stuck on his back but manages to shrimp out and stand momentarily until his opponent pushes him back down. wrestles back to his feet, lands some strikes on the cage and shoots a double leg, his opponent threatens a gilly, ortega does some weird shit and he gets taken down again cuz of it. shrimps up again and shoots a labored double leg, it gets stuffed but he re wrestles and gets top position. his opp attacks a leg and he gets the back from it, gets hooks in and gets the RNC. Tony Ortega vs. Nate Morrow - May / 15 / 2021 His striking is pretty basic. Walks his opponent down and throws jab cross. Decent takedown defense but gets taken down a few times. got dropped by throwing a weird long winded calf kick and getting countered. morrow walks him down after hurting him and lands some more. ortega throws some counters that miss. he stands in place while countering. very little head movement and footwork if any....
