Pretty much a can crusher. loses whenever he fights a good opponent, but i will say his striking seems to be improving a bit. However, he still relies on his power too much without proper set up which gets him countered a lot. he has the ability to make the fight dirty which is good against some fighters but he only does it for some parts of his fights. even when he has success with it, he goes back to a technical striking fight even when hes the worse striker. Lastly, his tdd, get up game and grappling are a big hole in his game. Zachary Borrego vs. Jordan Wright - Mar / 24 / 2024 Throws a body kicks to start round 1 which gets him taken down. wright controls in half guard. threatens an arm triangle a couple times, also a d'arce when borrego tries to shrimp from half guard. lays on his back the whole round. gets taken down again to start round 2 from a kick. He does a better job this round, gets to the fence and gets up after 2 mins of being controlled. clinches wright to the cage and lands some good punches and knees, wright tries a wizzer throw a couple times, borrego controls him, lands an elbow and some more clinch punches. borrego wins the round by controlling wright in the clinch the rest of the round. borrego tries to throw a horrible flying knee, gets clinched on the cage. wright gets a lateral drop and controls borrego for the rest of the round in guard/half guard. wright controls him him the clinch for the entirety of round 4. Does the same in round 5 with a double leg takedown at the 3:00 mark. Borrego defends it well at first but then starts elbowing instead of defending, gets taken down and controlled. Borregos tdd and ground game got exposed. Zachary Borrego vs. Cameron Presher - Jan / 21 / 2023 good hand fighting, leads with overhand right a lot which is pretty obvious when hes about to throw it. a lot of good body kicks. kind of has tall mans defense. when his opponent walks him down and throws he gets clipped a lot. hes also very counterable because his timing isnt great. some good clinch knees, he has good power but he doesn't really set anything up. single leg attempt that he gets but his technique wasnt great, lifted him and used power rather than wrestling technique. has a tendency to make the fight dirty, good dirty boxing and clinch work.
