Good technical striker, but lets his opponents fight at their pace and lacks killing instinct until he lands a nice counter. His defensive wrestling is a huge hole in his game and his grappling is really limited. this loses him a lot of fights Alfred Walker vs. Elijah Johns - Feb / 09 / 2024 Good feints, good low kick and counter right uppercut. Decent defense of the first takedown but he was worrying too much about elbowing his opponent rather than defending. Got taken down but built to his feet and escaped the clinch well. Johns went for a single leg and he had good balance to defend. However, he didnt get to the fence and johns was able to trip out his other leg. Really nice takedown from johns, but thats the second tdd mistake from walker. Ref stood them up really quick. 2nd round he again is focusing too much on striking while defending takedowns. He was able to defend though and lands some nice counters. got taken down again, worked his way to his feet but got matt returned. Seems like his takedown defense is a big hole in his game. His timing on his counters is really nice, but he cant keep it on the feet. Gets taken down again in round 3 and gets to his knees without getting to the fence, gets his back taken and controlled for the rest of the round. Gets taken down and controlled in round 4 and again gives up his back. Does it again in round 5. Alfred Walker vs. Landry Ward - 2023-10-06 Ward starts the fight pressuring him heavily, walker stays composed and gets distance and starts countering decently. Walker does decent on the feet and ward gets a double leg takedown, gets in half guard. gets back to his feet but gets held on the cage a bit, the rest of the fight is pretty much a striking fight, walker defends a few takedowns but ward isnt a great wrestler. Alfred Walker vs. Chuka willis - Aug / 28 / 2022 willis gets a nice single leg td to start the fight, walker shrimps well and trys to get to the cage but willis does a good job of controlling him. round 2 goes the same way until he gets subbed....
