His wrestling technique is nice but hes not super explosive with it. The explosivity isn't really needed though because his technique is that good. Grappling technique is solid but he sometimes makes mistakes and loses positions. His counter striking is really nice and his footwork/head movement evades his opponents attacks nicely. Good takedown defense as well. Milad Ahady vs. Ville Mankinen - Nov / 25 / 2023 Good distance management to start. his opp attacks a single leg but he defends it nicely. Shoots a single leg, his opponent gets to the cage and he pulls his base leg out. Gets in top position and ties up the legs, takes the back as his opp gets to the feet on the cage. Has one hook in and threatens RNC. Opponent tries getting him offdecently well buy peeling him off but he gets 2nd hook in. Ahady tried to get body triangle but his opp timed it well and got up as he was adjusting. Back to distance and he shoots a double leg, opp gets to the cage and he lifts him off, takes the back as his opp tries to get up again. One hook in until his opp gives him the 2nd one, lands some strikes to end the round. Starts r2 at range, gets taken down by a blast double but he gets to the cage and builds a base well. Reverses and rips the legs of his opp out, gets back position again. opp defends and rips his hook out, gets back to range. His opp starts throwing some big shots, one left hook lands clean but he rolled with it. Shoots a TD, gets the rear body lock. Gets him down again and takes the back. His opp is pretty bad at defending tds and when he gets up he always exposes the back. SO this may look like good work from ahady but his opponent is making it easy. R3 his opp pressures him and he lands a left cross counter. opp seems affected so he pressures and lands some nice combos. opp shoots a double leg, gets it breifly but he gets to his feet on the cage. Shoots a nice double leg, gets the back again as his opponent exposes the back yet again. Milad Ahady vs. Tom Mearns - Nov / 12 / 2022 cagey start in r1, mearns pressuring him and hes landing some counters as he comes in, nice head movement and footwork to evade while throwing counters. Occasionally mearns is able to corner him on the cage and land some overhands. Nice double leg gets him down, mearns throwing some elbows and punches from guard. controls him and passes to half guard and some gnp to end the round. R2 looks similar on the feet. Hes keeping distance, staying light on the feet and landing counters when mearns attacks. Really nice TD and he gets back to half guard, lands some gnp. r3 is much of the same, mearns tries to mix it up with a deep double leg at one point but ahady defends it well. ... Read moreShow less
